Research Fellow Post-doctoral, Forests and Livelihoods Programme
Amy Duchelle is a Research Fellow Post-doctoral in the Forests and Livelihoods programme at CIFOR, based at the Brazil office. She trained as a biologist and tropical forester. Duchelle has been affiliated with CIFOR since 2006. She was a PEN partner during her PhD research on management of Brazil nuts by communities in the tri-national frontier region of Peru, Brazil and Bolivia in Western Amazonia and later worked as a consultant to explore stakeholder perceptions of multiple use of Brazil nuts and timber in the same region. Before beginning her staff position at CIFOR, Duchelle worked as Post Doctoral Associate for the University of Florida's Amazon Conservation Leadership Initiative based at the Brazilian Federal University of Acre. She also worked as Environmental Auditor for SmartWood.
