ABOUT THE WRITER
Leona is the Editor of Forests News. Prior to this role, she was the Director of Communications for Danone’s CSR fund Livelihoods working on topics concerning sustainable agriculture and greening supply chains. She previously worked as a print and TV journalist in Paris, France for leading international media including BusinessWeek, Reuters and the French international news channel France 24. Originally from New York, Leona holds a Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism and French from the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University and a Master’s degree in international affairs from l’Institut des Etudes des Sciences Politiques (Sciences Po Paris). She is thrilled to apply her media and communications expertise to promote forestry research for CIFOR.
