Melati Kaye is a freelance writer based in Bogor, Indonesia. She currently writes for Al Jazeera and the Jakarta Post. She also contributes to the CIFOR blog and the CoLUPSIA project. Prior to arriving in Indonesia, Melati worked as a public radio reporter in Alaska. She has a degree in Biology and Creative Writing from Reed College.
